photobook | happiness is

This photobook design, titled happiness is, was first featured on Liz's blog and sold in her digital shop. It's now available on Shutterfly, which is how I put mine together (in no time, by the way). It features some of my favorite photos from Ben's first few months.

Looking back over this photobook yesterday was a good reminder for me as I work through Project Life: I don't have to document every second of my life to capture the mood of the moment.

Sometimes a brief caption or a quotation or a photo conveys a lot. I tend to include LOTS of photos in my PL album, which can make the layouts look really busy.

This simple, quiet little book conveys so much about a very important time in our lives in just a few pages, photos and words. It totally inspires me to get on it with another photobook.

Below are a few shots of the printed book.

The cover:

The title page:

"the many sweet faces of Ben"

One of my favorites:

"laughing out loud"

A layout with Dad. I love the shot on the right of Nick pushing Ben's stroller on the flight line.

Lots of people held the little guy in those early days:

I had to include a page featuring Ben's cousin, Charlie, who's just 11 weeks younger than Ben. The photo on the right was taken the day Charlie was born.

"spending time with Mom"

The last page:

And the spine:
